At MeriCal, we believe the most effective leaders are those who drive results with integrity, champion others, and leave a lasting impact on both their organization and their community. Our Chief Financial Officer, Anna Ricardo, exemplifies that philosophy—and we’re proud to share that she was recently honored at Angel Stadium as one of this year’s 2025 Business Angels, a joint recognition from PNC Bank and Angels Baseball.

The Business Angels program spotlights influential Orange County business leaders who are creating meaningful change in their industries while giving back to their communities. Now in its second season, the program expanded its reach to honor six standout executives, including leaders from Ingram Micro, Lyra Health, Nitto Tire, Z Supply, and Boldyn. Anna’s inclusion is a testament not only to her financial leadership at MeriCal, but also to the values-driven approach she brings to every challenge and opportunity.

I am more than honored to have been chosen by PNC and the Angels to represent MeriCal as the Business Angel for July. The support of family, friends and colleagues made this an unforgettable event for which I am truly humbled. MeriCal has undergone an amazing transformation, and it is not lost on me that it takes an entire team to conjoin with a common goal! Together we continue to drive to Best In Class!

As part of the program, Anna was recognized in-game at an Angels home game this summer, featured on the Big A LED screen, and spotlighted in Angels Magazine and on Angels Radio AM830. It was a special moment for our team to see one of our own celebrated on such a visible stage.

Anna’s recognition was based in part on her nominations for Orange County Business Woman of the Year and CFO of the Year—accolades earned through years of thoughtful leadership, strategic decision-making, and a consistent focus on building value for MeriCal’s customers, employees, and stakeholders. Under her guidance, MeriCal has navigated growth, transformation, and rising complexity in the health supplement manufacturing space—all while maintaining financial discipline and operational excellence.

Later this year, Anna will take the stage again—this time at Angel Stadium in late October—as part of a Business Angels leadership panel. She and her fellow honorees will share their stories and insights with an audience of emerging business leaders in a conversation designed to inspire and mentor the next generation of changemakers.

From my lens, for anybody seeking a career in finance or manufacturing, particularly women, I would encourage you to invest in mastering the fundamentals. Spend the time to build a strong foundation, hands-on, learn the business. Gain the knowledge that AI can’t teach you! Build cross-functional relationships across multiple levels of the organization. Seek mentors and allies who are willing to sponsor you. Find your niche that you are passionate about and brings value to the business. Be visible by bringing facts to the table and letting your expertise will shine through.
